In various disease and organ models, molecular hydrogen plays a protective role by regulating apoptosis\u00a0<\/p><p>Therefore, drinking hydrogen water prevents premature cell death. Due to its antioxidant capacity, molecular hydrogen in water can selectively target reactive oxygen species that cause oxidative stress and thus premature cell death. In addition, molecular hydrogen also activates or enhances additional antioxidant enzymes (such as glutathione, superoxide dismutase, catalase, etc.) and\/or cellular protection proteins in the body.
